JACOBABAD: Twelve people were tested coronavirus positive amid lockdown in Jacobabad on Saturday. Among the affectees, five were the members of a doctor’s family. A total of 49 samples of Jacobabad’s people had been sent for the test out of which 12 were diagnosis coronavirus positive. The local authorities have tightened the lockdown after surfacing of new cases.
A partial lockdown was observed in the city today as social distancing was violated at many places. The rush of people was seen at retail shops and other places. However, bazaars and markets remained closed in the city. The shops of milk, goods and other necessary things were opened to provide necessary daily use items to the citizens. A large public gatherings, weddings and congregations, conferences and other events have also been banned in the city. The laborers community has badly been affected by the lockdown and they need urgent relief goods, including ration, to feed their children.
