19 accused arrested under Kite Flying Act

LAHORE: Punjab police said Thursday that it has accelerated crackdown on suspects involved in kite flying business in Lahore and other areas.

During the last 24 hours, 19 accused were arrested and as many cases were registered under the Kite Flying Act across the province. A total of 162 kites and 27 metal spinning wheels were recovered from the accused.

IG Punjab said that during the last 37 days, 3,678 accused were arrested under the Anti-Kite Flying Act across the province, while 3,545 cases were registered, 224,043 kites and 15,826 metallic spinning wheels were recovered from the accused.
