Pakistan strongly condemns brutal military crackdown by Indian occupation forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir

Islamabad, November 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pakistan strongly condemns Indian state-terrorism and extra-judicial killings of innocent Kashmiris in fake encounters and so-called “cordon and search operations” in IIOJK. 35 innocent Kashmiris have been martyred by the Indian occupation forces in less than two months in IIOJK.

Three more Kashmiris have been martyred in a fake encounter on 24 November in Srinagar. Indian occupation forces are committing grave crimes against the Kashmiri people including enforced disappearances, targeted and extra-judicial killings, and collective punishment of the population.

No amount of Indian sophistry can obfuscate the Indian state-terrorism perpetuated with shameless impunity in IIOJK. Nor could use of brutal force ever succeed in breaking the will of the Kashmiri people struggling for their inalienable right to self-determination as enshrined in the relevant UNSC resolutions.

The comprehensive Dossier presented by Pakistan in September this year provided incontrovertible evidence of the gross and systematic human rights violations and crimes against humanity by Indian occupation forces in IIOJK. Pakistan calls upon the international community to hold India accountable for the egregious human rights violations of the innocent Kashmiri people in IIOJK.

The deteriorating situation in the occupied territory poses a threat to peace and security in the region. Pakistan also urges the international community to play its role for peaceful and durable resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UNSC resolutions and wishes of the Kashmiri people.

India cannot hold Kashmir on gun point: Mehbooba

Jammu, November 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party President, Mehbooba Mufti, has warned the Indian government that it cannot keep Kashmir by holding a stick or a gun on the heads of the people.

Noting that history is testimony to the fact that no powerful nation has ruled people on the might of guns, addressing a public rally at Neel village of Banihal Mehbooba Mufti said, “You cannot keep Kashmir by holding a stick or a gun (on the heads of the people); the US failed to rule Afghanistan on the strength of power and had to leave the country.”

She asked the Indian government to restore Article 370 and resolve the Kashmir issue as people of Kashmir want return of their identity and honour and that too with interest. Mehbooba also asked the people to stand united and “strengthen their voice for the success of struggle in support of the restoration of special status guaranteed by the Indian Constitution and safeguard the identity and honour of people of Jammu and Kashmir”.

People are fed up with BJP: GA Mir

Jammu, November 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):The President of Indian National Congress chapter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Ahmad Mir has claimed that people want a change, as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has failed on all fronts of governance.

Addressing a party gathering in Jammu, Mir said that people of all sections are completely fed up with the BJP’s performance in the government and its anti-youth, anti-poor and anti-people polices, as there is uncontrolled price rise and record unemployment in J and K, besides anti-employees, anti-trade, anti-farmers and anti-people policies of BJP.

He said that the anti- people policies are being imposed on the people of J and K by BJP through back door through bureaucrats, as there are no elected representatives in J and K for three and half years, now the people of different sections are being forced to swallow the bitter pills, as they have no representation or forum to raise their voice against the anti-people policies of the BJP through bureaucratic system.

Masarrat calls for two-day strike against gruesome civilian killings in custody

Srinagar, November 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt has appealed to the freedom-loving people of Jammu and Kashmir to observe a two-day complete shutdown and civil curfew beginning from today against the gruesome civilian killings in custody in the broad daylight before the open eyes of the people.

In an appeal from Tihar jail, Delhi, the incarcerated APHC Chairman while strongly condemning the killing of three more youth at Rambagh Chowk in a fake encounter by the Indian occupation forces appealed the people to rise to the occasion and observe an exemplary shutdown on 25th and 26th November to pay tributes to the young martyrs killed in custody.

The Hurriyat leader hailed the spontaneous reaction of the people at the site of fake encounter at Rambagh Srinagar, raising slogans for freedom, cursing Indian brutalities and its occupation forces and said that India should shun its false military arrogance and also desist from testing the patience of the brave people of Kashmir who have never accepted Indian illegal occupation of their motherland.

The APHC Chairman urged the United Nations Secretary General to take serious cognizance of the ethnic cleansing designs of India in Kashmir where its brute occupation forces are brazenly escalating the use of fake encounters to eliminate the Muslim majority of the occupied territory.

Paying glorious tributes to the martyrs of Hyderpora and Rambagh, Masarrat Aalam Butt demanded an impartial probe by International Court of Justice under the auspices of the United Nations to bring the culprits to justice as early as possible.

The APHC leader said it has become highly imperative for the United Nations Secretary General to convene an emergency meeting of the UN and its Security Council to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the agreed Resolutions on Kashmir, and put a brake on the widespread genocide perpetrated by India in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) while calling for peaceful protests on Friday against the recent killing spree termed the cold-blooded murder of three Kashmiri youth at Rambagh yet another incident of state-terrorism.

The DFP said that it was unfortunate that innocent youth were killed, maimed and murder by the trigger-happy Indian forces, day in and day out in Kashmir. It urged the international community to take effective notice of the Indian state sponsored terrorism and brutal repression that has wreaked havoc in the valley.

UAE minister refuses to attend event where Islamophobia Indian journalist remains a speaker

Srinagar, November 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):Zee News Editor-in-Chief and anchor Sudhir Chaudhry continues to be listed as one of the speakers at the event being organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in Abu Dhabi. This is despite a UAE minister refusing to attend the event.

Princess Hend bint Faisal Al Qasim, who earlier informed through a tweet that Chaudhry was dropped from the event, on Wednesday said that the president of ICAI’s Abu Dhabi chapter, CA Neeraj Ritolia, has refused to drop Chaudhry from the event.

Posting the photo of Ritolia, she tweeted: “I just spoke to the President of the Abu Dhabi Chartered Accountants and he told me that #Islamophobia Sudhir Chaudhry is still attending. He refuses to disinvite him. Good to know how much he respects the country of tolerance”.

In another tweet, she shamed Ritolia to invite him “despite the 30 members asking for the removal of a criminal #SudhirChaudhry with financial misconduct and a notorious name against Muslims”.

Earlier on Sunday, members of ICAI’s Abu Dhabi chapter wrote to the chairman and the management committee expressing their disappointment and disagreement over the invitation to Chaudhry.

The signatories to the letter have cited the Zee News editor’s ‘criminal misdeeds’. “No doubt that Sudhir Chaudhary is a popular TV personality but he has been alleged to have involved in numerous unprofessional journalism and criminal misdeeds,” they have written. Chaudhry has been invited as a speaker at the annual international seminar of ICAI going to be held at Hotel Fairmont Bab Al Bahr on 25th and 26th November.

The princes, who has been relentlessly raising voice against invitation to Chaudhry, has also informed that UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, who was invited to ICAI’s event, has declined to attend the event.

According to reports, the ICAI members tried to convince the management committee but they refused to disinvite because they had political pressure to keep Chaudhry as speaker. The management also assured the dissenting members that Chaudhry will not be given much publicity and advertise him at low-level. They would also ask Chaudhry not to speak about politics and anything controversial.

On the other hand, the Princess has continued to speak against Chaudhry and his invitation to the Abu Dhabi event. In a series of tweets, she highlighted allegations of extortions levelled against him and his imprisonment in the case. She shared the report of Chaudhary being sent to Tihar jail. She also shared the video of a sting operation in which Chaudhry was accused of taking bribes.

“Watch this video on how a criminal asking for a bribe then goes to Tihar prison then gets invited by ‘accountants’ on how to be good,” she tweeted along with the video. She also wrote in Arabic raising similar issues including Chaudhry’s Islamophobia journalism. Earlier, she called him “intolerant terrorist”.

No decision on waiver to India for Russian arms purchase: US

Washington, November 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):The United States has said it has not decided on a potential waiver for India’s arms transactions with Russia, especially of the S-400 missile defence system. India is also poised to sign a contract with Russia for the manufacturing of AK-203 rifles and will discuss future arms transactions during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit on December 6. The first-ever India-Russia two-plus-two summit of their defence and foreign ministers is also on cards.

US law countering America’s Adversaries through Sanctions Act (CAATSA), however, does not have a blanket or country-specific waiver provision. United States State Department spokesperson Ned Price denied that the Indo-US two-plus-two of defence and foreign ministers had been “shifted”.

“We have never announced a date for the 2+2. Of course, we’ve committed to it because we have a significant relationship with India, including its status as a major defence partner. But I can assure you that there will be an opportunity for a 2+2 before long,” he said. “But we’ve urged all our partners to forego transactions with Russia that may risk triggering sanctions under CAATSA,” he said.
