Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Invites Malaysian Business Leaders to Pakistan

Islamabad, In a strategic move to bolster bilateral economic ties, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended an invitation to the Malaysian business community to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan. This invitation was made during his meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at the World Economic Forum’s special session in Riyadh.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting centered on reinforcing the trade and investment links between the two nations. Prime Minister Sharif lauded Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership and his profound insights into the arts and literature, specifically highlighting his appreciation for Pakistan’s national poet, Allama Iqbal.

The dialogue between the two leaders underscored the deep-rooted educational, scientific, technological, and trade connections that have historically existed between Pakistan and Malaysia, with a mutual commitment to further intensify these bonds. Both leaders agreed to schedule the next session of the Joint Ministerial Commission in Islamabad to cement the discussed initiatives.

Prime Minister Sharif also reiterated his invitation to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for an official visit to Pakistan later this year, aiming to solidify the growing partnership and shared objectives between the two countries.
