Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has outlined a significant funding initiative for the region’s livestock and dairy development, emphasizing the importance of reclaiming government land and improving departmental efficiency. According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during a review meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Bugti announced an initial allocation of two billion rupees for the sector. The meeting, attended by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Secretary Livestock Department Mohammad Tayyab Lahri, Secretary Finance Babar Khan, and other officials, focused on enhancing the performance of the Livestock Department. The Chief Minister criticized the current state of government land occupation and the unsatisfactory performance of the Livestock Department despite its substantial budget of six billion rupees and workforce of seven thousand government employees. epartment and directed efforts to reclaim government lands currently occupied by unrelated persons. He stressed the importance of professional training for Livestock Department employees and the activation of research institutes to meet modern agricultural demands. The meeting also addressed the misuse of civil veterinary hospitals by influential personalities, with orders to collect and publicly disclose details of such misuse. Bugti emphasized the need for transparency and the efficient use of resources to enhance public services in the livestock sector.
