Turbat to Experience Temporary Power Outages During Transformer Upgrade

The Quetta Electric Supply Company (KESCO) has announced significant upgrades at the 132kV Turbat substation, which will involve replacing an existing transformer with one of higher capacity, leading to temporary power disruptions in several areas. According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the existing 10/13 MVA power transformer at the Turbat grid station will be replaced with a new 40 MVA transformer to enhance power capacity and reliability. During the installation period, the 11Kv feeders including Nasirabad, FC, Obsar, Cadet College, and South City will experience scheduled outages.
