The International Lawyers Forum (ILF) hosted a grand Christmas celebration at the Karachi Bar Association Bar Room, bringing together leaders from various religious communities.
According to a ILF statement issued today, the event began with the national anthem of Pakistan, followed by heartfelt tableaus performed by children from Dar ul Sukun. Captain Kanwal from the Salvation Army added a spiritual touch to the gathering by singing religious hymns.
ILF Chairman Advocate Nasir Ahmed, while addressing the attendees, highlighted the essence of Christmas as a festival of peace, love, and unity, a message deeply reflected throughout the event. He congratulated everyone on the occasion of Christmas and praised the Karachi Bar Association for its unique distinction of enabling people from all religions and communities to freely celebrate their traditions. He expressed his aspiration that this unique inclusivity would secure a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Cardinal Joseph Coutts, during his speech, underscored the importance of embracing Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s guiding principles of Faith, Unity, and Discipline, describing them as essential for the development and prosperity of any nation.
The event featured notable addresses by prominent figures, including Allama Sadiq Jafri, Indra M., Vijay Maharaj, Gopal Maharaj, Marani Tarabai, Rajinder Singh, Sister Nargis Sadiq, Advocate Khursheed, Karachi Bar President Amir Warraich, General Secretary Ikhtiar Ali Channa, Sister Salma, and several advocates such as Jamshed Ali Khawaja, Muhammad Abdul Basit, Aamir Tabassum, Faisal, Rafiq Ahmed Peerzada, Muhammad Younis, Mahmood Khan, Aamir Mengwario, Salman, Tahseen Manzoor, Ikram Haq Qureshi, Rana Saeed Ashar, and Aftab Bukhari.
The event concluded on a high note with Cardinal Joseph Coutts leading the cake-cutting ceremony.
