Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar held a meeting with IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon and directed him to ensure alternative traffic routes in view of sit-ins in the city and safety measures on the eve of the New Year.
According to the Sindh home ministry’s information today, the meeting focused on the ongoing sit-ins being staged in various parts of the city and the police measures being implemented to address them.
The home minister directed the IGP to ensure informing citizens about alternative traffic routes to minimize inconvenience. He also directed the police to prioritize clear communication and effective traffic management during such events.
With the New Year approaching, Lanjar underlined the importance of implementing a comprehensive deployment plan. He said that law enforcement should not only be vigilant in this regard, but the safety and security of citizens must also be effectively ensured.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to maintaining peace and stability across the province through coordinated efforts.
