Call to restore 100% promotion quota for social workers

Afriyasab Durrani, President of the All Pakistan Clerks Association Social Welfare Department, on Sunday urged authorities to establish a 100% promotion quota for social workers within the department.

In a statement, he emphasized the indispensable role of social workers, criticizing former Secretary Abdul Rehman Buzdar for reducing the promotion quota from 100% to 50%.

Durrani appealed to the current Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, Asmatullah Quresh, Additional Secretary Abdul Mehdi, and other officials to reinstate the full promotion quota for social workers.

Meanwhile, a social leader of Pirkoh Kohlu, Abdul Samad, on Sunday called on the authorities that the vacant slots of Public Health Engineering Department, Dera Bugti, advertised recently, be given to the residents of Pirkoh in accordance with the accord concluded between the PHE and residents of Pirkoh and take notice of the high handedness of Amun Force constituted for maintaining law and order situation in District Dera Bugti of Balochistan province.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club, he said that residents of Pirkoh gave land to Public Health Engineering Department, Balochistan for execution of development projects for the welfare of the people and in the concluded agreement, and it had been promised that jobs in Public Health Engineering Department would be given to the residents of Pirkoh in lieu of the land, but the said agreement had not been materialised yet.
