A two-day session of the 8th Joint Commission between Pakistan and Azerbaijan began in Islamabad today, with representatives from both countries focused on enhancing collaboration across various sectors of mutual interest.
The inaugural session was marked by technical-level discussions across key sectors. The discussions covered energy, transport, trade and economic cooperation, defense industry, ICT and digital governance, banking, agriculture and food security, tourism, sports, youth, culture, education and science, health, hydrometeorology, climate change, public service delivery, and social innovations.
The session saw both sides discussing mutual areas of cooperation, with significant progress reported in finalizing bilateral protocols. This collaboration is viewed as a crucial step in strengthening the ties between the two nations.
Ms Sabina Qureshi, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, emphasized the importance of the joint commission in fostering stronger relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
