KARACHI: The Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs Department is set to host a significant conference focusing on the issues and opportunities facing today’s youth. Titled “21st Century Youth Problems and Their Solutions,” this three-day event will begin on January 31 in Karachi, aiming to gather insights and suggestions from various stakeholders to help shape the future for young people in the region.
According to a statement by Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs Department, the conference will take place at the Youth Club Gulistan-e-Jauhar and feature 11 distinct sessions. The opening ceremony at 3 p.m. on January 31 will be led by Sindh Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Baksh Mahar. The event seeks to address key topics such as education, employment, technology, and social change, with a focus on the role of youth in the development of Sindh.
Sports Secretary Abdul Aleem Lashari will outline the conference’s objectives during the opening. Notable speakers, including Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, journalist Wasatullah Khan, and economist Qaiser Bengali, will share their perspectives in sessions following on February 1. The gathering will also feature a musical program and a tour of Karachi’s historical sites.
Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, along with other prominent figures, will also attend the conference. The event is designed not only to discuss challenges but also to empower the youth of Sindh by enhancing their skills and preparing them for the future.
