Anti-Crime Operations by Karachi Police Results In Arrest Of 546 Suspects

Karachi Police actions in the city over the past week led to the arrest of 546 suspects, police spokesperson said here today.

During the past week, police conducted 19 encounters in various areas, resulting in the death of 2 robbers and the injury of 21 others in exchanges of fire. During these operations, 30 different types of illegal weapons and 13 motorcycles were recovered.

In total, over 546 suspects were arrested in Karachi’s East, West, and South zones. As part of the ongoing campaign against drugs, 29 kilograms and 310 grams of hashish, 1 kilogram and 30 grams of ice/crystal, and heroin were recovered from various areas.

From the possession of the arrested suspects, more than 113 different types of illegal weapons, along with ammunition used in robberies and other incidents, were recovered. Karachi Police also recovered 36 snatched and stolen motorcycles and 2 large vehicles during operations in various areas.

According to the Karachi Police spokesperson, efforts to eliminate crime, restore law and order, and ensure public safety will continue uninterrupted.
