Islamabad admin initiates crackdown against unauthorized animal sale points across city

As EidulAzha approaches, the federal capital administration has begun preparations and initiated a crackdown against unauthorized animal sale points across the city.

According to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Memon, tenders have been issued for setting up official livestock markets at five designated locations: Sangjani, Sector I15, Bhara Kahu, Lehtrar Road, and Islamabad Expressway.

These official cattle markets will operate from 1st to 13th ZilHajjah. The DC has made it clear that the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals before these dates or outside the designated locations will be considered illegal.

‘Any livestock market set up outside these notified sites will be deemed unauthorized,’ said Irfan Memon. He urged all traders to conduct business only at the approved locations.
