In the PCB InterDistrict Under19 One Day Cricket Tournament (Karachi Region), organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board, Zones Five, Six, and Seven showcased outstanding performances by defeating their rival teams. A notable highlight of these matches was the destructive bowling by medium pacer Rizwanullah from Zone Five and the allround performance by Zone Three’s Zoneer Ali Khan.
In the first match played at Gulberg Gymkhana Ground, Zone Five defeated Zone Four by 5 wickets. Zone Four batted first and scored 167 runs, with Amanullah contributing a 50run inning. Rizwanullah took 5 wickets for 61 runs. Zone Five successfully chased the target of 168 runs with the loss of 5 wickets.
At the KCCA Stadium, in the second match, Zone Six triumphed over Zone Two by 9 wickets. Zone Two was bowled out for 114 runs. Zone Six achieved the target, scoring 120 runs for the loss of one wicket. Hassan Ali and Hamza Qureshi both played innings of 49 runs.
At Agha Khan Gymkhana Ground, Zone Seven defeated Zone Three by 33 runs. Zone Seven set a target of 212 runs, with excellent batting from Talha Irfan. Zoneer Ali Khan took 4 wickets. Zone Three was all out for 179 runs.
The umpiring responsibilities in these matches were handled by Murtaza Mehmood, Asghar Shah, Al Haider, Aqeel Adil, Imran Javed, and S.M. Babar, while the scoring was done by Mustajab Alam, Muhammad Ahsan, and Imran Ali.
