Environment Department Withdraws Key Positions

In an announcement, the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department has retracted several advertised positions, impacting numerous applicants. The decision affects a total of 25 posts, including those for Assistant Directors and Deputy Directors in various specialized fields. This move comes despite a significant interest shown by candidates, with some positions attracting over 400 applications.

The Public Service Commission Punjab clarified on October 17, 2023, that candidates who have already applied can repurpose their paid Treasury Challan for another advertised post within the next year. This policy aims to accommodate applicants following the withdrawal of these requisitions.

The affected roles include Assistant Directors in biodiversity, analytical chemistry, and air monitoring, among others. The Senior Inspector position, which had five vacancies, also attracted over 500 applicants. The Commission assures that the new policy will provide flexibility for candidates as they navigate these changes.
