Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman paid a surprise visit to Okara district to review security arrangements for Muharram. He inspected the control and command room established in the Deputy Commissioner’s office and specifically reviewed the monitoring arrangements through safe city cameras and other CCTV cameras.
Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed and District Police Officer Rashid Hidayat gave a detailed briefing to the Chief Secretary regarding public facilities, Muharram arrangements, and security measures.
The Chief Secretary also reviewed the cleanliness and anti-encroachment drive in the markets near Gol Chowk. He expressed satisfaction with the Muharram preparations, cleanliness arrangements, and security measures.
