JMC to provide world-class health facilities to patients: PM

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today ordered officials to develop a plan for enhancing primary and secondary healthcare services in Islamabad to alleviate pressure on tertiary care centers.

He issued these directives during a meeting held in Islamabad to assess the development of the Jinnah Medical Complex. The Prime Minister emphasized adherence to global benchmarks for specialized medical care during the complex’ construction. He stated the facility will offer top-tier medical services to individuals from all four provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Sharif directed that various sections of the medical center be designated after the provinces, stressing transparency and merit in construction and staffing. He also mandated third-party verification of the building process.

Attendees were briefed that the conceptual blueprint, land transfer, and board appointments are nearing completion. A geotechnical assessment is underway to guarantee construction quality and maximize the hospital”s positive influence on Islamabad and neighboring regions.
