Karachi police have launched a major search and combing operation against crime, resulting in one robber killed, nine injured, and hundreds of suspects arrested in the past week. Eleven suspects were arrested during seven encounters with robbers, and police seized eleven illegal weapons and four motorcycles.
In a separate operation against drugs, authorities seized 34 kilos and 830 grams of hashish, ice/crystal meth, and heroin. The value of the seized drugs is said to be in the millions of rupees.
Continuing their efforts, Karachi police also seized over 67 illegal weapons and ammunition from various individuals suspected of involvement in robberies and other illegal activities. 21 stolen motorcycles and five large vehicles were also recovered during the ongoing operations.
The operation was supervised by Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho and involved police from the East, West, and South zones, who collectively arrested over 566 individuals.
