Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visits Center of Excellence Chakwal, launches tree plantation drive

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif received a rousing welcome from the public during her visit to Chakwal. As she entered the city, citizens lined the streets, showering her with flowers, waving party flags, and chanting slogans. In a notable sight, some young locals arrived on decorated horses to pay tribute to the leader.

The highlight of her visit was the inauguration of the Chakwal Center of Excellence Boys’ Campus. The event was attended by a large number of students, who welcomed her with national flags and banners. Maryam Nawaz called the students over to her and enjoyed their chants and applause.

During her address, the Chief Minister encouraged the students to excel in their studies and emphasized the importance of education for the nation’s progress. She expressed her desire to establish multiple Centers of Excellence in every city to strengthen the educational infrastructure. After taking pictures with the students, she showed interest in their academic pursuits and praised their efforts.

Furthering her commitment to environmental causes, Maryam Nawaz launched a tree plantation drive by planting a sapling on the campus. She was briefed on the comprehensive facilities offered by the Center of Excellence, which include advanced IT and science labs, a modern stadium, and a multipurpose hall. The campus is spread over 40 kanals, provides clean water, hygienic washrooms, and students are provided with free books.

The establishment of the Chakwal Center of Excellence, constructed at a cost of approximately 640 million rupees, highlights the government’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities. This information was shared in a statement by PML-N on the platform formerly known as Twitter.
