Leaders and members of the Abbasi community from all corners of Pakistan converged in Karachi paid homage to the enduring legacy of Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi V on his 121st birth anniversary, in a significant demonstration of national unity and reverence.
The commemorative event, organized by Anjuman Ittehad Abbasiya Sindh, took place at the Arts Council of Karachi, the association informed today . The occasion was dedicated to celebrating the visionary leadership and remarkable services of the former ruler of Bahawalpur.
The ceremony was graced by several distinguished figures, including Patron-in-Chief Imtiaz Abbasi, Dr. Shafqat Hussain Abbasi, the lifetime president of the national Anjuman, and Sahibzada Umar Dawood Abbasi from Bahawalpur as guests of honor. They were joined by other notable personalities such as Sahibzada Talal Abbasi and Nawab Salahuddin Saeed Tanoli, the Nawab of Tanawal.
Prominent leadership from the Anjuman was also in attendance, including Sardar Babar Abbasi, the national General Secretary, and Sardar Shah Nawaz Khan Abbasi, the Sindh President. The gathering drew enthusiastic participation from representatives who traveled from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, and Azad Kashmir.
During their remarks, various speakers emphasized Nawab Sir Sadiq Abbasi”s profound dedication to public welfare, education, and regional development. They underscored his pivotal role in shaping the modern history of the Bahawalpur state.
The successful coordination of the assembly was credited to the efforts of Naeem Abbasi, President of the Karachi Division, and Mukhtar Abbasi, Patron-in-Chief for the same division. The event concluded with the Abbasi community renewing its commitment to uphold their shared heritage and continue the late Nawab”s mission of service and solidarity.
