Pakistan Set to Host Inaugural International Capital Market Conference

In a significant move to attract foreign capital and bolster regional financial integration, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) said today that it will organize the country’s first-ever International Capital Market Conference and Expo in 2025, bringing together key stakeholders from diverse jurisdictions including China, Iran, and the USA.

The landmark event, held in collaboration with the Capital Market Infrastructure Institutions (CMIIs), will convene regulators, policymakers, and market infrastructure entities from nations such as Azerbaijan and Bangladesh, alongside multilateral institutions and prominent figures from Pakistan’s financial ecosystem.

This conference represents the culmination of a year-long series of strategic engagements and regulatory diplomacy undertaken by the SECP and its partners: the Pakistan Stock Exchange, National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited, Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited, and Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited. These efforts have established a unique platform for dialogue and shared learning.

Conceived to enhance cooperation and accelerate investment, the gathering will facilitate the exchange of regulatory insights and best practices for developing robust, transparent, and inclusive capital markets, highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to a resilient financial landscape.

Running alongside the main conference, an Expo will feature leading market participants, including asset management firms, brokerage houses, insurance providers, technology companies, and banks. The exhibition aims to enhance public awareness of Pakistan’s diverse financial products and promote investor education by allowing institutions to showcase their services.

By directly engaging with regional regulators and capital market institutions, the initiative seeks to pave the way for increased foreign investment, bilateral cooperation, and knowledge-sharing partnerships designed to strengthen Pakistan’s financial ecosystem.

The International Capital Market Conference and Expo 2025 is positioned as a transformative step toward stronger, more integrated capital markets, reaffirming the national commitment to regulatory reforms, financial stability, and international collaboration.
