The country’s judiciary and courts are being held ‘hostage’: Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh

Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chief Munim Zafar has said that the country’s judiciary and courts are being held “hostage,” and the current political discourse centered on constitutional amendments is not benefiting the 250 million people of Pakistan.

Munim Zafar made these remarks while speaking to the media before the departure of a special train today. “At this time, Pakistan’s politics revolves around the 26th and 27th amendments,” he said.

The Jamaat-e-Islami leader was present to “see off the special train” carrying more than 1,000 passengers for a public gathering to be held from November 21 to 23.

He announced that the theme of the convention is “Change the system,” calling for a major political overhaul.

The chartered train, comprising 15 coaches, carried participants from various walks of life, including women, children, youth, and the elderly.

Before departure, party workers gathered outside the train and chanted slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad.”
