Government Prioritizes Industrial Overhaul to Spur Economic Growth and Investment

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that facilitating businesses and stimulating investment are the foremost objectives of his administration, positioning industrial development as the cornerstone for national economic recovery and job creation.

The Prime Minister’s remarks came as he presided over the inaugural review meeting of the Private Sector Committee on National Industrial Development in the capital today. He stated that progress in the industrial domain is indispensable for achieving national economic expansion, generating employment opportunities, and elevating public income levels.

During the session, a series of policy recommendations were presented aimed at enhancing Pakistan”s industrial capacity and increasing investment inflows. A comparative analysis with regional countries was also shared to identify avenues for improving the competitiveness of local industry.

Mr. Sharif acknowledged the crucial role of the Pakistani business community, highlighting their support for government policies during difficult economic times which helped the nation navigate financial crises. He noted that the country”s economic direction has improved and Pakistan is now on a developmental path, but emphasized that further hard work is required for national progress.

Commending the proposals, the Prime Minister directed that they be integrated with recommendations from other economic sectors into a comprehensive national policy framework. He instructed the relevant authorities to conduct a detailed review and prepare a strategic plan for their implementation.
