Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif today extended an invitation to entrepreneurs from the Philippines to explore investment opportunities in the province, assuring them of the government”s full cooperation and necessary facilitation.
The offer was presented during a meeting with the Ambassador of the Philippines, Dr Emmanuel Fernandez, where the two officials also exchanged views on political and parliamentary cooperation. To attract foreign capital, the Chief Minister emphasized the province’s Special Economic Zones, which she said provide world-class infrastructure for businesses.
Sharif elaborated that these zones feature substantial benefits for investors, including significant tax incentives and efficient customs facilities. The dialogue also touched upon potential collaboration in the cultural and tourism sectors.
She pointed to Lahore”s designation as a UNESCO Creative City and its upcoming recognition as the ECO Tourism Capital in 2027 as catalysts for opening new avenues for partnership.
