The Punjab Highway Patrolling Police on Tuesday arrested a man with an extensive criminal record of 24 cases as he was fleeing after a recent motorcycle theft incident on Toba Road.
This successful operation was carried out through a swift response by the team at the Ashaba check post of the Punjab Highway Patrolling Police. The officers intercepted the individual attempting to escape after receiving a report of the theft.
Law enforcement authorities have identified the detained person as Amanat Ali. A background check confirmed that he is a recorded criminal with two dozen prior cases, including numerous incidents of motorcycle theft.
In recognition of the team’s effective action, District Police Officer (DPO) Jhang, Captain (R) Bilal Iftikhar Kiani, formally commended the officers involved in the operation. The DPO presented commendation certificates to acknowledge and encourage the personnel’s performance.
