On Wednesday, armed assailants stormed Imroz Memon’s mobile shop and fled after looting cash and valuable smartphones.
. The President of the Traders Alliance District Thatta, Dr. Kamran Qureshi, along with other traders, reached the spot and protested, declaring the situation as lawlessness.
This incident occurred after a daylight robbery at the same main stop a day earlier. In that incident, a trader from Jati, Pelaj Mal, was deprived of 4 million rupees immediately after withdrawing money from a local bank.
Three days ago, a house robbery took place in Makhdoom neighborhood, where armed men had taken Shabbir Memon’s family hostage. The culprits had looted a large amount of cash and gold jewelry from the house.
So far, no suspect has been arrested in connection with these increasing criminal incidents, due to which citizens are openly raising questions about the performance and competence of the local police.
