At UN, Pakistan Calls for Restraint and Dialogue in Ukraine Conflict

Pakistan has formally called for a mutually acceptable settlement to the Ukraine conflict, urging all parties to exercise restraint, demonstrate political will, and engage in earnest dialogue to resolve the situation.

According to an official report today, the declaration was made by Ambassador Usman Jadoon, the Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan, during his remarks at a United Nations Security Council briefing focused on the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

The Ambassador asserted that Pakistan remains an ardent proponent of a peaceful resolution to the conflict. He further noted that the nation welcomes the renewed momentum towards peace and diplomatic engagements, particularly those being led by the United States.

Ambassador Jadoon concluded by affirming that Pakistan stands ready to back all initiatives aimed at resolving the crisis in a manner that is peaceful, just, comprehensive, and durable.
