Former Tehsil Nazim Dipalpur Syed Maratab Ali Shah has become a victim of a major financial fraud through a fake check of 11 lakh rupees, upon which the local police have initiated legal proceedings against the alleged accused.
Former Tehsil Nazim of Dipalpur, Syed Maratab Ali Shah Kirmani, was allegedly defrauded by a person named Muhammad Nadeem during a vehicle transaction.
According to details, Kirmani, a resident of village Bhaikay Lal Chand near Hujra Shah Muqeem, was awaiting payment of the amount under the deal. He was given a bank check for the agreed-upon amount by Nadeem.
The fraud came to light when the check was presented for deposit at the bank and it turned out to be fake.
After the discovery of the uncashable check, the authorities were informed. Law enforcement agencies have confirmed that a formal case has been registered against the accused and an investigation is underway.
