Law enforcement officials from Preedy Police Station today apprehended a suspected drug dealer during a successful operation and recovered a large quantity of hashish and cash from his possession.
A spokesperson for the SSP District South Police confirmed on Saturday that the accused was caught red-handed near Kutchi Memon Masjid Saddar on Raja Ghazanfar Ali Khan Road.
The accused has been identified as Irfan Khan, son of Farooq Khan. Authorities recovered two kilograms of the illicit substance (hashish) and an amount of Rs 11,150 from his possession, believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
Following the arrest, Preedy Police Station has registered a case against the accused. A First Information Report (FIR), number 818/2025, has been filed under Section 9(i)(3)(C) of the Sindh Control of Narcotic Substances Act 2024.
The Police Media Cell stated that further legal proceedings against the accused are underway.
