Authorities today ordered a significant enhancement of security measures across the federal capital, including a directive for a crackdown on unregistered vehicles and intensified checking of suspicious individuals, following a high-level review by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza.
The directive was issued during a tour of various areas within the city, where Raza inspected security arrangements at police checkpoints and churches. He personally met with officers and personnel deployed on duty to assess the existing security posture.
During his visit, the SSP instructed all officers to maintain a state of high alert and keep a vigilant watch for criminal elements. He confirmed that additional personnel and mobile units have been assigned to key points to strengthen both security and patrolling capabilities.
The new instructions mandate thorough inspections of all suspicious vehicles and motorcycles, with an emphasis on taking legal action against any found to be unregistered. SSP Raza warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt peace and security.
While emphasizing stringent security checks, the SSP also directed all officers to conduct themselves with courtesy and treat citizens politely, underscoring that public convenience should be prioritized during all interactions.
Reiterating the force”s primary objective, Raza stated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the foremost priority for the Islamabad Police. He concluded with an appeal to the public, requesting their cooperation during security checks to help maintain peace and order in the city.
