Capital’s Police Chief Mandates Swift Resolution of Public Grievances

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, issued immediate directives for the resolution of public complaints during an open court session, emphasizing that the merit-based and prompt handling of citizen issues is the force”s principal objective.

According to information by Islamabad Capital Police today, the session, held at the Central Police Office as part of an established open-door policy, provided a platform for both citizens and police personnel to voice their concerns directly to the head of the capital”s police force.

Responding to the grievances presented, the IGP gave on-the-spot instructions to the relevant officials, mandating that all applications be settled on merit within a designated timeframe. He further required that a compliance report for each case be submitted to the Central Police Office.

Inspector General Rizvi reiterated that his doors are always open, encouraging any citizen with a police-related issue to attend the public forums for assistance.

The directive extended down the chain of command, as all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) were instructed to strictly maintain their office hours to ensure they are available to meet with the public and address their problems efficiently.
