Former Federal Minister Kamran Michael has stressed acting upon the universal teachings of Christmas to establish hope and justice for tackling serious global issues like wars, political unrest, and climate change. He emphasized that the world is currently engulfed in serious conflicts and collective efforts are needed to promote love and brotherhood.
Addressing a Christmas ceremony organized by “Jesus the Saviour” Church Ministry today, the former senator said that this occasion gives a universal message of love, reconciliation, peace, and hope. He said that the teachings of the “Prince of Peace,” Hazrat Isa (Jesus Christ), are not confined to any one religion but are for all humanity, showing the path of forgiveness, service, and mutual respect.
Kamran Michael described the participation of followers of different religions in the event as “clear evidence of religious tolerance and national unity in Pakistan.” He expressed his vision to make the country a “cradle of peace” by promoting these values.
The event’s host, Pastor Javed Iqbal Bhatti, in his address, urged the participants to reflect on the life of Hazrat Isa (Jesus Christ), renounce sins, and make purity the true purpose of this festival. Dr. Maqsood Kamil also presented a special message, providing a detailed explanation of the truths of the holy scripture, which was well-received by the audience.
The ceremony was attended by various political figures and representatives of different schools of thought, including Waheed Javed Advocate, Sarfraz Vicky, Samson Iqbal, Shahbaz Aamir, and Riaz Akhtar. Nauman Javed and worshipper Farhan Arif also presented hymns at the event.
The ceremony concluded with the cutting of a Christmas cake and special prayers for the security, development, and prosperity of Pakistan. Prayers were also offered for the country’s key institutions, including the Pakistan Army, judiciary, police, and law enforcement agencies.
