A wanted militant ringleader, carrying a four-million-rupee bounty, was among two individuals killed during an intelligence-led security operation in the Kulachi area.
According to information by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched based on intelligence confirming the presence of militants, referred to as “Khwarij,” in the region. The statement noted that security forces “effectively engaged the khwarij location and sent two terrorists… to hell.”
One of the deceased was identified as the ringleader Dilawar. Authorities stated he was highly wanted by law enforcement agencies for his alleged involvement in multiple terrorist activities, prompting the government to issue the significant head money for him.
A quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the location. The ISPR statement added that the deceased individuals had been actively involved in numerous attacks against security forces and were responsible for the killing of civilians.
Following the initial engagement, sanitisation operations have been initiated in the surrounding area to find any other militants, who the official communication described as “Indian sponsored.”
This action is part of the ongoing “Azm-e-Istehkam” counter-terrorism campaign. The national strategy, which was approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, is intended to continue at full pace to “eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country”.
