Precious metal prices witnessed a significant decline in local and international markets, with a clear drop recorded in the rates of gold and silver.
On Thursday in the local bullion market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs 600 to Rs 466,162. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs 515 to Rs 399,658.
The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also decreased by Rs 472, closing at Rs 366,366. This downturn in the local market reflects the trend in the international market, where the price of gold fell by $6 to $4,438.
Silver was also not immune to market pressure, and the price of 24-karat silver per tola decreased by Rs 236 to Rs 8,125.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat silver dropped by Rs 203 to Rs 6,965. In the global market, the international price of silver saw a more significant decline, trading at $76.50 after a fall of $2.36.
