Authorities, in a major police operation, have arrested 2 habitual/professional individuals involved in running and playing gambling, and have dismantled a network involved in the illegal preparation and sale of gutka and mawa, arresting three more individuals.
In a separate, targeted operation, law enforcement personnel also arrested two individuals named Zaheer and Ayaz involved in organized gambling. The police have declared both as habitual and professional gamblers.
Kalakot police, in a major operation, have also arrested 3 habitual and professional suppliers who prepare and sell gutka/mawa.
During the gambling raid, officers recovered betting slips, playing cards, and money used for gambling from both individuals.
A formal case has been registered against all five individuals taken into custody in separate operations. Authorities have confirmed that further legal proceedings are underway against the three accused involved in the supply of prohibited items.
