The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement has confiscated a substantial haul of smuggled and non-duty-paid goods, including a Rolls-Royce luxury vehicle and nineteen heavy bikes, with a total estimated worth of Rs412.2 million, following a series of targeted late-night raids in the capital and surrounding areas.
According to an official report today, acting on credible intelligence reports concerning the movement and concealment of illicit items, Customs Enforcement teams executed several coordinated operations. These actions form part of a wider, ongoing drive to tackle smuggling, safeguard the national economy, and ensure adherence to customs laws.
The impounded goods include the single luxury car, high-performance motorcycles from manufacturers Suzuki and Kawasaki, and a significant quantity of laptops and other electronic devices. A subsequent examination confirmed the items were non-duty paid and had been illicitly brought into the country in violation of prevailing regulations.
All recovered merchandise has been transferred to a designated Customs warehouse for a detailed inspection and secure storage. The consignments were officially seized under the relevant provisions of the Customs Act, 1969, and formal legal proceedings have now been initiated.
An investigation is underway to identify the individuals involved and to dismantle the broader smuggling network. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has reiterated its firm commitment to combating illicit trade and protecting national revenue through sustained vigilance and intelligence-led enforcement.
