Five New Hospitals in Balochistan to Provide Free Medical Care to General Public

In a significant development for public health in Balochistan, five newly established workers’ hospitals will extend free-of-cost medical facilities to the general public in addition to industrial and mining labourers.

The announcement was made by Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, during the formal inauguration ceremony for the new healthcare centres.

The minister opened five state-of-the-art, 25-bed hospitals located in Pishin, Dalbandin, Nokundi, Chamalang, and Muslim Bagh as part of his official visit to the province.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Hussain stated that the facilities are designed to provide safe, dignified, and complimentary medical services and underscored that the welfare of Balochistan”s workers is a top priority for the government.

He affirmed the Federal Government”s commitment to taking all possible measures to ensure the health, safety, dignity, and overall well-being of the region”s workforce.

Prior to the ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Balochistan Health Department and the Workers Welfare Fund to formalise cooperation.

The event was attended by numerous dignitaries, including Provincial Minister Noor Muhammad Dummar, Labour Advisor for Balochistan Sardar Ghulam Rasool Umrani, Federal Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, and Secretary of the Workers Welfare Fund Zulfiqar Ahmed, along with other senior officials.
