BEIJING: The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry, alongside the Hameed Latif Healthcare Group, has organized the participation of a 52-member Pakistani delegation in the ASPIRE 2026 congress in China. This initiative marks a significant development in enhancing healthcare cooperation between Pakistan and China.
According to Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the congress, themed "Journeying the Silk Road of Reproductive Care," is being held from May 7 to 10 at the China National Convention Center. It gathers global experts to discuss fertility treatments, reproductive technologies, and patient-centered care. The delegation is headed by Haroon Latif Khan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Health Services at PCJCCI, emphasizing the collaboration between institutional and private healthcare stakeholders to foster international medical advancements.
Nazir Hussain, President of PCJCCI, described this joint initiative with the Hameed Latif Healthcare Group as a milestone in Pakistan-China healthcare cooperation, highlighting its role in providing Pakistani professionals with access to global knowledge, advanced medical technologies, and international networks. Hussain noted that such engagements are crucial for modernizing Pakistan's healthcare infrastructure and improving service delivery, particularly in reproductive medicine.
Haroon Latif Khan pointed out that the participation provides a strategic opportunity for Pakistan to align its reproductive healthcare sector with international standards. Exposure to advanced assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and global best practices is expected to enhance fertility care in Pakistan. Khan mentioned that this engagement will promote collaborative research, training programs, and technology transfer with Chinese and international partners.
The collaboration aims to open new avenues for institutional partnerships, joint research, and investment in healthcare infrastructure. Meetings in Beijing and Shanghai will explore future cooperation, including joint ventures, training programs, and the establishment of specialized medical centers in Pakistan.
