Government Greenlights Over Rs 117 Billion for Development

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has sanctioned a portfolio of development projects valued at more than 117 billion rupees, including a crucial extension of the ‘Sehat Sahulat Programme’ until 30 July of this year.

The decision was made during a high-level meeting in the capital, presided over by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. The approved initiatives are aimed at fostering socio-economic development and enhancing public service delivery.

Alongside the health programme’s continuation, the council gave its assent to major undertakings in the energy, infrastructure, and transportation sectors, according to an official report today.

Concluding the session, Mr Dar directed the concerned ministries to ensure the meticulous planning, effective implementation, and long-term sustainability of these vital initiatives.
