Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Friday declared the protection of citizens’ lives and property as the foremost priority, directing all subordinate officers to expedite measures aimed at significantly enhancing public service delivery.
The directive was issued during a high-level conference concerning operations and investigation, attended by senior officials including DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq and SSP Investigation Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt.
In the course of the session, the IGP received a comprehensive briefing from attending personnel regarding existing security arrangements and the strategies in place to maintain law and order throughout the capital.
The discussion also encompassed a thorough review of various initiatives undertaken by the Islamabad Police, focusing on citizen facilitation programmes, community policing efforts, and the augmentation of services available at local police stations.
The police chief affirmed that the force will not permit any elements to disrupt peace in the city, stating that all necessary actions will be employed to safeguard the lives and property of residents, as well as public and private assets.
