Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials on Tuesday foiled an attempt to travel abroad illegally at Sialkot Airport, arresting a person attempting to depart for Saudi Arabia on a fake document.
The passenger, identified as Ali Ahmed, was about to board flight PK-243. He was traveling on a work visa for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During routine immigration checking, FIA officials discovered a fake protector stamp on Mr. Ahmed’s passport.
Upon the discovery of the forgery, the passenger was immediately prevented from continuing his journey and the authorities took him into their custody.
