Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, directed all relevant departments to accelerate the implementation of the agreement reached with the Joint Awami Action Committee of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Chairing a high-level review meeting in the capital today, the minister expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved thus far but instructed respective agencies to further speed up the work required to fulfil the pact”s terms.
Engineer Muqam stated that Azad Jammu and Kashmir is a top priority for the Prime Minister and affirmed that providing relief to the populace is a collective responsibility of the federal and AJK governments.
He gave assurances that the complete and effective enactment of the accord with the Joint Action Committee would be guaranteed, in strict alignment with the Prime Minister”s instructions.
During the session, officials from relevant ministries and departments briefed the minister on the steps taken to date, while the Chief Secretary of Azad Kashmir presented a detailed update regarding the on-ground implementation process.
