As industries and consumers grapple with severe economic challenges, the 21st My Karachi exhibition is set to open this Friday at the Karachi Expo Centre, offering goods and services from over 300 exhibitors at substantially discounted prices.
The three-day international trade fair will be inaugurated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, February 6, 2026. The event, themed ‘Oasis of Harmony,’ will run until Sunday, February 8.
Muhammad Idrees, Chairman of the Special Committee for My Karachi Exhibition and a Former President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), stated that the annual event serves as a crucial platform for both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) engagements.
“This flagship exhibition has become one of Karachi’s most eagerly awaited annual events, attracting massive public interest every year,” Mr Idrees said, noting that organisers anticipate an attendance of over 800,000 visitors across the three days.
He confirmed that several diplomats from friendly nations and numerous multinational corporations are participating this year, which he said underscores the growing international stature of the expo.
Mr Idrees emphasised that the exhibition is “a powerful statement showcasing the resilience, diversity, and economic strength of Karachi and Pakistan,” reflecting the business community”s collective resolve to project the city as vibrant and rich with opportunity.
The “My Karachi – Oasis of Harmony” concept originated in 2004 under the leadership of the late Siraj Kassam Teli, who envisioned the event as a way to counter negative portrayals of the city in international media and present its “true, positive, and peaceful face to the world.”
The KCCI has consistently organised the event as a non-commercial service to the nation, with the primary mission of promoting the ‘Made in Pakistan’ brand. The only interruptions occurred in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Idrees noted that the strong participation from leading manufacturers, exporters, and national brands demonstrates the business community”s confidence, particularly during the current economic climate.
He expressed gratitude for the support from the Sindh Government, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Sindh Police, and Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), who help ensure the smooth and secure organisation of the large-scale event.
“The 21st My Karachi Exhibition offers an exceptional opportunity to explore the immense trade and investment potential of Karachi and Pakistan,” Mr Idrees remarked, highlighting the country”s natural resources and skilled manpower.
To enhance the visitor experience, the event will also feature a dedicated food court, pet and bird shows, live musical performances, and fireworks displays, catering to families and individuals of all ages.
