The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Operations today ordered immediate legal proceedings in response to numerous citizen complaints, primarily concerning land encroachments, raised during a public forum held at his office.
The public hearing was conducted by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, following special directives from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of an open-door policy aimed at ensuring the prompt redressal of public grievances.
After carefully listening to the concerns presented by attendees, the SSP instructed the relevant officers to act on the marked applications within a stipulated timeframe and to submit a comprehensive report on their findings.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Raza affirmed that Islamabad Police maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding violence against women and children, stating that providing maximum relief to the public is a foremost priority.
He further underscored that the supremacy of the law would be ensured at all costs and that every citizen possesses equal rights. All applications, he emphasised, will be adjudicated strictly on merit.
The protection of citizens’ lives, property, and dignity is of paramount importance, the senior officer added.
