Pakistan Denounces Israeli Actions, Urges Lasting Peace

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, has condemned Israel’s ceasefire violations, annexation attempts and illegal actions across the Occupied Palestinian Territories, stating they threaten the prospects for a just and lasting peace.

Addressing the United Nations Security Council meeting on the situation in Palestine, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people in their legitimate pursuit of the right to self-determination, dignity, and freedom, according to a report today.

Mr Dar affirmed that Pakistan remains fully engaged in diplomatic efforts aimed at a permanent cessation of hostilities and a fair resolution of the conflict. He also noted Pakistan”s appreciation for peace efforts led by US President Donald Trump.

On the sidelines of the UN briefing, the Foreign Minister met with Riyadh Mansour, the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, where he reaffirmed Islamabad’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people.

Mr Mansour conveyed his gratitude for Pakistan”s steadfast and principled support for the Palestinian cause.

Separately, during a meeting with community leaders at the Pakistan Consulate in New York, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the nation’s recent diplomatic achievements and outlined the government’s key foreign policy priorities.

Community representatives appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the DPM in strengthening Pakistan’s diplomatic profile, expressing pride in the country’s growing global stature.
