Activate Pakistan-Philippines Joint Business Council, Urges Business Leader

Karachi: The president of the Pakistan Business Forum in Sindh, Malik Khuda Bakhsh, advocated for the activation of the Pakistan-Philippines Joint Business Council to enhance trade and investment relations between the two nations. He stressed the importance of this initiative for strengthening economic ties and called for immediate action to further develop these bilateral connections.

According to Pakistan Business Forum, Malik Khuda Bakhsh expressed support for the proposal by both countries to deepen economic cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding between their investment boards and the creation of a joint working group on investment. He emphasized the potential for expanded collaboration and the necessity of organizing trade exhibitions and business forums between Pakistan and the Philippines.

Malik Khuda Bakhsh highlighted the need for the early implementation of the proposed Preferential Trade Agreement. He also pointed out the importance of improving cooperation in banking and taxation sectors and urged the Philippines to simplify the visa process for Pakistani tourists and businessmen, aiming to foster a more conducive environment for economic interaction.
