Health – Citizens’ protest against incomplete Naseerabad hospital construction and lack of medical facilities enters fourth month

The citizens’ protest against the completion of the long-stalled Taluka Hospital in Naseerabad and the severe shortage of medical staff and equipment continued for the 112th consecutive day, intensifying public demand for immediate government action.

Organized by the Conscious Citizens’ Alliance, the ongoing movement on Sunday recently launched a protest signature campaign to garner further support. The initiative was led by the alliance’s President Comrade Muhammad Rafi Laghari, Senior Vice President Sufi Ghaffar Channa, and General Secretary Comrade Asif Katio, among other leaders.

All segments of the local population, including the city’s youth, students, shopkeepers, and various political and social activists, participated in large numbers in the campaign, expressing their resentment.

Addressing the media, representatives of the Conscious Citizens’ Alliance stressed that their sole purpose is to ensure that all residents of the city and the entire taluka are provided with modern, dignified, and prompt medical facilities. They clarified that proper healthcare is a fundamental human right.

The leadership further added that the hospital’s perpetually incomplete state, combined with the constant lack of doctors and essential medicines, is not just an administrative failure but a grave injustice to the public.
