New digital system launched in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to reform livestock sector governance

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has unveiled a new digital platform to address the lack of transparency and accountability in the livestock sector, which officials are heralding as the dawn of a new era of reform.

Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi formally launched the Livestock Management Information System (LMIS) today during an inaugural ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the new system is designed to promote better governance in the delivery of services related to farm animals. “The LMIS will ensure transparency, accountability, and better governance in the delivery of livestock services,” said Mr. Afridi.

He further stressed that the introduction of the LMIS is a significant milestone for the region’s agricultural administration. “The LMIS marks the beginning of a new era of reforms in the livestock sector,” the Chief Minister added.
