Renowned actor Qavi Khan’s third death anniversary observed, tribute paid to services

The third death anniversary of eminent actor Muhammad Qavi Khan was observed across the country today, remembering one of Pakistan’s most celebrated figures in the field of fine arts.

Khan’s extensive artistic journey began in his childhood at Radio Pakistan in his hometown of Peshawar. Later, he turned to television and started his work with Pakistan Television in 1964.

His professional acting career began with the drama “Lakhon Mein Aik”. However, his memorable role in the serial “Andhera Ujala” earned him immense popularity across the country.

In addition to his successful television career, Qavi Khan also worked in numerous Pakistani films.

In recognition of his outstanding services to the country and the showbiz industry, the Government of Pakistan honored him with the prestigious awards Pride of Performance and Sitara-i-Imtiaz.

The veteran artist passed away on this date in 2023.
