The Euro and British Pound registered notable values in the local open market on Friday, with the former’s selling rate rising above 322 and the latter trading near 373.50, according to official figures released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP).
The US Dollar was quoted at 279.44 for buying and 280.36 for selling in the open market. In comparison, the interbank rate for the greenback was recorded at 279.30 for buying and 279.50 for selling.
Detailed data for the single European currency indicated a buying price of 318.50 and a selling price of 322.63. Concurrently, Pound Sterling was available for purchase at 368.87 and for sale at 373.45.
Among other international currencies, the Japanese Yen was exchanged within a band of 1.73 and 1.79. The rates for two prominent Middle Eastern currencies were also issued, with the UAE Dirham trading between 75.80 and 76.75, while the Saudi Riyal was valued in the range of 73.88 to 74.83.
